Mr. Jowher Rizvi completed his MBA degree in International Finance from Indiana University, USA. Also earned MA in Economics with Honors from Dhaka University. He started his professional career with BCCI in 1977 and worked till March, 1991.

From 1991 to 1997, he served Union Bank Zambia Ltd., Zambia as its founder Managing Director and was awarded Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Bankers (FZIB). 

Returning to Bangladesh he established Alliance Holdings Limited and started his journey as an entrepreneur. In 1997, Mr. Rizvi entered the Off-Dock business - Ocean Containers Limited. Subsequently in 2003, he made another valuable addition to the expanding Off-Dock industry by establishing Summit Alliance Port Limited, which is listed with the two major bourses of the country.

In 2006 he ventured into prefabricated steel business and established PEB Steel Alliance Limited. 

In 2017, he established another Off-Dock - Ispahani Summit Alliance Terminal Limited. 

In 2018, he brought together the premier Bangladeshi Business Groups along with People’s Leasing & Finance PLC of Sri Lanka to set up a joint venture Financial Institution - Alliance Finance PLC. 

Mr. Rizvi is the incumbent President of Steel Building Manufacturers Association (SBMA) and was recently elected as President of Dhaka University Economics Department Alumni Association (DUEDAA).
