ICC Bangladesh organized jointly with ICC Malaysia a Workshop on Rules and Tools for International Trade Finance in Kuala Lumpur on 23-25 April for Bankers from Bangladeshi banks. A total of 90 bankers from 19 Banks including Bangladesh Bank and Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) participated in this program. This is for the first time that ICC Bangladesh has organized such a workshop outside the country. Some 60 bankers of Malaysian Banks participated at the workshop together with Bangladeshi bankers. The main objective of the Workshop was to allow the Bangladeshi bankers to interact with their counterparts in  Malaysia, to learn more about the latest rules and tools of international trade finance as well as to avoid risks in crossborder transactions. The workshop also cover Documentary Credit Operations and Risk Management.
