The 102nd Meeting of the ICC Bangladesh Executive Board was held at the National Secretariat on 20 September. The meeting, presided over by ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman, was attended by Vice Presidents A. K. Azad and Naser Ezaz Bijoy, and Executive Board Members Abdul Hai Sarker, Aftab Ul Islam, Anwarul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), Kutubuddin Ahmed, Md. Fazlul Hoque, Mir Nasir Hossain, Mohammad Amirul Haque, Mohammad Hatem, Sayeed Ahmed, M.P., Simeen Rahman, Showkat Aziz Russell, Syed Nasim Manzur and Taskeen Ahmed. Mohammadi Group Managing Director Dr. Rubana Huq and ICC Bangladesh Secretary General Ataur Rahman also attended the meeting.

The Executive Board unanimously elected Mr. Mahbubur Rahman as President, Mr. A. K. Azad as Vice President representing the Corporate Group, and FICCI President Rupali Chowdhury as Vice President representing the Organisation Group for a two-year term ending in March 2028.

Mr. Naser Ezaz Bijoy informed the Board that he would be unable to continue as Vice President of ICC Bangladesh as the representative of FICCI, as he had decided to resign from Standard Chartered Bank. ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman thanked Mr. Bijoy for his continued support, guidance and cooperation in carrying out various activities of the National Committee and expressed the hope that he would continue to extend his support in the future.

Mr. Bijoy said that he was honoured to have had the opportunity to serve as Vice President of ICC Bangladesh and thanked the President and members of the Executive Board for their continuous support during his tenure. The Executive Board also welcomed CCCI President Mohammad Amirul Haque as a member of the Executive Board.

The meeting confirmed the minutes of the 101st Meeting of the Executive Board and reviewed the activities of the National Secretariat during June–September 2026. It also discussed a proposal to establish an ICC Bangladesh-hosted Industry-Academia Initiative to support Bangladesh’s LDC graduation readiness, as well as an invitation from the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF) for National Chambers to express interest in hosting or sponsoring WCF events during 2028–2029.

It was suggested that DCCI may consider submitting an expression of interest to host the WCF Regional Summit in Dhaka in the second half of 2028 or the World Chambers Congress in 2029.

The Executive Board also approved the membership applications of the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) and Designer Fashions Limited to join ICC Bangladesh under the Organisation and Corporate categories, respectively.
